Pride photos are up. Jenny and I did a triple-take at the theater yesterday. We saw Wall-E, Get Smart and Incredible Hulk. I was tearing up like a little girl through most of Wall-E and I want to watch it again already. Get Smart was awesome (I can't believe I didn't know Anne Hathaway was so hot). Hulk was good, but I'll likely never see it again. I think I'm done with the references to the upcoming Avengers movie as well. It was cool in Iron Man and already kind of stale in Hulk. By the time they're talking about it in Thor and Captain America come out, I'm going to be quite sick of it I'm sure. |

SLEEP! Cant sleep again, it looks like i am falling back into a nice pattern of not sleeping for days at a time. Then crashing hard after like 5 or so days of loosing my mind. "Dear diary, day 2. still having trouble sleeping, hope this ends soon work is hard enough with a full 5 hours sleep."
Getting up after just laying in bed all night sucks, But with a real job, you know the kind where you get up and bust your ass all day. Then come home and your so sleepy you cant even eat. You just go striate to bed. Ya thats tuff on the enjoying ones life thing. "Dear diary, day 3. starting to hear wearied noises from things that are not there. i sure hope i can sleep with all that racket going off in my mind. Why wont i let me sleep?
Now you think with the 4th around the corner and a day off of work i could get some rest. Nope i had to run around all day Thr. at work. Trying to get my day finished quick to get out to Chicago to see the shappy. But after all the hard work, finishing my day 4 hours sooner then normal. thats how hard i busted my ass. Everything fell apart and i did nothing but stay at home. That's just not cool. "Dear diary, day 4. Well its 3:35 am and i am writing this entry. its the 4th now and i have lots of stuff to do. So you thing sleep would be something my brain would allow. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! {spoken out loud in the voice of bill Murray.} I am still awake. Another week and still not any closer So I still know nuttin. What I do know is William is on the radar! That is what the placement officer said to me anyway when I finally got him on the phone. I've been trying to get that guy on the phone for a week. I finally caught him! We had a nice talk but I still need to sit tight and wait till mid July when hopefully my exception request gets approved. And to wait and see if there are any other kids in that district who need a seat. They of course will get it over William. So we wait. Cross your fingers. Ticker below. Epp less then 2 months lovely!

One of the drivers at work has been bugging me about a horse poster. During the Triple Crown races UPS was naturally sponsoring the thoroughbred Big Brown. After he won the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness, the corporate tie-in buzz was in the air. Our building got about 500 Big Brown buttons, a Big Brown UPS poster, and bunch of fliers saying to support BB at your local off track betting. If he had won the Belmont, the company was poised to roll out commercials, plushie toys with the UPS logo, and other asinine stuff. Of course BB choked at the third race, and dreams of the fastest mascot in the shipping business went the way of the glue factory. The following week the driver started asking me if I've seen the poster we got. He claimed to be a horse racing fan and wanted it for a keepsake. Today after asking again for nth time, he finally admitted that another driver said it was going for about $90 on eBay. I didn't have the heart to tell him that I threw away the poster the day after the race. Current Mood:  shitty... |
